EXPANDED EXCELLENCE HAS BEGUN!
Deer Valley Resort rang in the new year with the historic opening of the Keetley Express chairlift, kicking off its Expanded Excellence initiative. The new 6-person bubble chair is as comfy as it looks—go check it out!
TREE DROP OFF
Still got a tree to get rid of? Drop it off at one of five locations by Jan. 13. The trees are turned into wood chips and used as windbreaks to prevent erosion—an easy, eco-friendly solution!
SUNDANCE SNOWBAR
This looks so cool… literally! The Snowbar is back at Sundance Resort with its 8-foot ice walls and unbeatable mountain views. Whether you ski, board, or walk up – your winter happy hour just got an upgrade. But it will only be open until Jan 4—go check it out!
ALPINE GROVE
Midway Mercantile has a new addition: Alpine Grove, a cozy heated outdoor dining area decorated by Huckleberry Lane Farm and Branching Out Home Decor. Request this beautiful space when you make your reservation!
NEW DV APRÈS SPOT
Deer Valley Resort is full of announcements already this year. In addition to new lifts and terrain, there’s a new beautiful spot to après! Chute Eleven at Empire Lodge is a must-see. This stylish yurt features fresh seafood, gourmet offerings, and plenty of charm. A fancy yurt is my kind of party!
SUNDANCE
It’s almost that time again! While the the Sundance Film Festival may be finding a new home in the future, for now, it’s still Park City’s fest! And whether you stay away or join in on the fun, it’s great for our local businesses! This year’s fest will be Jan 23 – Feb 2, buckle up!
SKI JORING TICKETS
Get your tickets now for Skijoring in Heber City Feb 14-15! Utah Ski Joring is a fun competition where a horse and rider pull a skier at a fast pace through a course that includes gates, jumps, and rings. Tickets sell out, so gets yours early!
ICE CASTLES
Get your Ice Castle tickets! They are opening Jan 17 and some of the earlier times are already sold out. It’s such a fun outing in Midway and you can even add on a horse carriage ride. I recommend grabbing a bite to eat before or after at Midway Mercantile, the new yurt at the Pizza Yard, or warm drinks at The Milk House cafe at Homestead Resort (it’s super cute!).

INSPIRED SUMMIT ADVENTURES
So many yurts, so little time! Inspired Summit Adventures makes exploring multiple yurts easy and unforgettable. Utah’s first hut system is now open in the Western Uintas, with Park City-based tours connecting two mountain yurts this winter. The Castle Peak Yurt (9,800 feet) and Smith and Morehouse Yurt (7,600 feet) are the heart of this system, offering thrilling winter routes with 2,500 feet of elevation gain and up to 5,000 feet of descent. In summer, a 10-mile hiking trail links these hubs. With more yurts and year-round adventures on the horizon, it’s an outdoor enthusiast’s dream!
